RCSA Portland Cup: Tournament Branding

The Rose City Softball Association (RCSA) is a vibrant and inclusive organization dedicated to promoting recreational and competitive softball in the Portland area. Established to provide a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels, RCSA emphasizes community, sportsmanship, and personal growth through the sport. I designed the tournament branding for the RCSA's Portland Cup, capturing the essence of this welcoming atmosphere and reflecting the unique character of both the association and the beautiful city of Portland.

In my design process, I conducted thorough research to understand the values and mission of RCSA, which include empowering players and fostering connections within the community. By developing a logo and branding elements that creatively integrate aspects of softball and local culture, I ensured that the visual identity of the Portland Cup resonates with participants and their supporters. The bold colors and playful typography I used are not only eye-catching but also represent the excitement and camaraderie of the event, enhancing its visibility across platforms such as apparel, promotional materials, and social media.

The successful implementation of the tournament branding for the Portland Cup, has led to increased engagement and recognition within the local softball community. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many participants appreciating the fresh and dynamic designs that contribute to the overall experience of the tournament. By aligning my design work with RCSA’s core values of inclusivity and sportsmanship, I helped foster a sense of pride and belonging among players and fans, reinforcing the important role that softball plays in the Rose City community.
